U.S. Embassy Rangoon ၏ ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်

ဧပြီ ၁၅ရက်တွင် မုံရွာမြို့၌ ဝေမိုးနိုင်နှင့် အခြားဆန္ဒပြသူတစ်ဦးတို့ ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာဆန္ဒပြနေစဉ်အတွင်း  လုံခြုံရေးတပ်ဖွဲ့များက ကားနှင့် ဝင်တိုက်ကာ ဖမ်းဆီးခေါ်ဆောင်သွားခဲ့သည့်သတင်းများကို မြင်တွေ့ရပါသည်။

 စစ်အာဏာရှင်အဖွဲ့အပေါ်  မြန်မာပြည်သူများ အားပေးထောက်ခံခြင်းမရှိသည့် အကြောင်းအရင်းကို ယခုကဲ့သို့  တုန်လှုပ်ချောက်ချားဖွယ် ဖြစ်ရပ်မျိုးက ဆက်လက်သက်သေထူလျက်ရှိပါသည်။ 

စစ်အာဏာရှင်အဖွဲ့က ထိန်းသိမ်းထားသည့် လူပေါင်း ၃,၀၀၀ ကျော်ကို ပြန်လွှတ်ပေးရန် မိမိတို့ တောင်းဆိုပြီး ဒီမိုကရေစီကို လိုလားတောင်းတလျက်ရှိသည့် မြန်မာပြည်သူများကိုလည်း မိမိတို့ အားပေးထောက်ခံပါသည်။ 

We have seen reports that security forces detained Wai Moe Naing and another demonstrator after hitting them with a car during a peaceful demonstration in Monywa on April 15.  This appalling act further demonstrates why the people of Myanmar do not accept the military regime.  We call for the release of the more than 3,000 people detained by the regime, and we support the people striving for democracy.
